Join us at this year's Dive Deeper Summit, a multi-state environmental education summit spotlighting innovative teaching about water. This biennial conference is for anyone who teaches youth about water, or anyone interested in educational tools and resources for teaching about water.

The Dive Deeper Summit includes a full day of conference sessions, including your choice of concurrent session presentations, morning refreshments, lunch buffet, exhibits and networking, an opportunity to have your home drinking water tested, and more! New this year, the conference will also include a pre-conference evening reception with an educational movie screening and panel discussion.

The vision of the 4-H STEM Symposium is to bring together advocates of STEM to collaborate, learn, and establish and strengthen partnerships that will enhance youth STEM educational opportunities. This conference is not limited to 4-H youth development professionals. We encourage all STEM enthusiasts to participate. The responsibility of delivering high-quality STEM youth education should not fall solely on one group, i.e., in-school or out-of-school, volunteers, teachers, or businesses.

Youth Watershed Art Contest!

CALLING ALL YOUNG ARTISTS!

We're celebrating 20 years of environmental stewardship through art!

The 2022 Protect Our Watersheds Art Contest is open to all 4th-, 5th-, and 6th-grade students who attend school or live in our service area. Winners will be awarded prizes PLUS the top 12 entries will be published in our "Protect Our Watersheds" wall calendar.

The project can be completed individually at home, or as a group in the classroom --> Pssst, teachers: we also offer a virtual watershed protection presentation & lesson to complement the contest!

LAST MINUTE OPPORTUNITY: LITTER HAWK YOUTH AWARD PROGRAM – NEW THIS YEAR!
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is announcing the Litter Hawk Youth Award Program, a recognition program for students in Kindergarten through 6th Grade to share how they keep Pennsylvania beautiful through art, words or video. Two entries will be awarded in each grade level. First place will receive a $25 gift card. First runner-up will receive $15 gift card. All participants will be recognized with certificates. Mailed projects must be postmarked by January 31. Winners will be announced in April in time for Earth Day celebrations.

GRANT ALERT: School District MWEE Programming - Funding will support projects to help school districts (in all of PA and other states in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed) deliver Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) to students or to increase school districts’ capacity to deliver environmental education. NOAA anticipates at least $900,000 in total funding to support 9-14 new projects.
