Middle Paxton Lions Club The Middle Paxton Lions Club has been in existence since 1958 serving residents of Dauphin and Middle Paxton. Lions are active. Our motto is "We Serve."

Lions are part of a global service network, doing whatever is necessary to help our local communities. Local Community Projects
Some examples of our work:
Sponsorship of local baseball teams
Annual Dauphin Middle Paxton Halloween Parade
Co-sponsor the Annual Children’s Christmas Party
Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt
Co-sponsor the Learn to Swim Program
Annual Dauphin Middle Paxton Carnival &

Fireworks Display
Movies in the Park
Co-sponsor Boy Scout Eagle Projects
Award 2 annual Lynn Poffenberger Memorial
college scholarships
Provide a Scholarships for the Beacon Lodge Camp
(a summer camp for the blind)

Additionally we assist with other community needs through support of local charities and reaching out to individuals in need to include:
Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania
Caitlin's Smiles
Feed My Sheep
Assisting local families in need of heating oil
Assisting local families in need of eye glasses
Assisting local families in other times of crisis

What an incredible Friday night at Carnival! Thank you all for your support! Tonight is the last night. We open at 6:00pm and hope to see you there. The band Nicks In Time - Stevie Nicks Tribute Band starts at 7.

Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes of Carnival Week? 🎡

Our annual Lions Club Carnival is more than a week of food, rides, games and fireworks. It’s one of our biggest fundraisers, organized and staffed largely by volunteers, with the money raised going right back into our community.

A few numbers that might surprise you:

• 1,200+ estimated volunteer hours
• 500 of those hours are just in the Lions kitchen
• 300+ hours running games
• Approximately $13,000 raised after carnival expenses

And where does that money go?

• Local youth sports
• Children’s Christmas Party & Easter Egg Hunt
• Halloween Parade
• Learn-to-Swim programs
• College scholarships
• Beacon Lodge Camp scholarships for individuals who are blind or visually impaired
• Eagle Scout projects
• Local charities and neighbors in need
• And more throughout the year

The people cooking your dinner, running games and working behind the scenes are volunteering their time to support the community we all share.

So when you eat at the Lions kitchen, play a game or support the carnival, that money doesn’t end with Carnival Week. It comes right back into our community all year long. ❤️
