St. Katharine's School Page Historical views of St. Katharine's School for girls. We are about gathering and sharing our memories and knowledge of the school's 130 year history.

Founded 1884. Founded as a school for girls in 1884 by the Episcoplal Church, the school survived many changes in society, but was eary on considered a top academic institution during the 30 years of Sr. Ester’s leadership. It was always a boarding school. By 1972 the school had admitted boys,moved to Bettendorf , Iowa , and changed its name to Rivermont Collegiant.
