Today, the Scott Emergency Communications Center proudly celebrates and honors all mothers — especially the dedicated mothers behind the headset who serve our community each and every day.

Whether at home, at work, or answering the call during someone’s time of need, mothers play an extraordinary role through their strength, compassion, sacrifice, and unwavering support for others.

To the moms working in public safety, emergency communications, law enforcement, fire, EMS, healthcare, and every walk of life — thank you for all that you do both on and off the job.

From all of us at SECC, we wish all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, and time with those who matter most.

🏆 SECC is honored to be named First Responder Agency of the Year by the Black Hawk College Criminal Justice Program! 🚨

This award means the world to us — not because of the recognition itself, but because of what it represents: the incredible men and women who show up every single day to serve our communities from behind the headset.

The role of a 911 telecommunicator is often unseen by the public, but it is never unnoticed by those who truly understand the impact of this profession. These dedicated professionals answer the call — literally — during some of the most critical moments in people's lives.

This award belongs to every dispatcher, every telecommunicator, and every member of our team who brings professionalism, dedication, and heart to this work each and every day. We are so incredibly proud of you. 💙
