Major Saver Cards are HERE!

The Davenport Schools Foundation is hosting our biggest fundraiser of the year! From September 2 –September 16, students will be selling physical and digital Major Saver Cards — and every purchase directly supports the Great Minds (Grade Level Outreach Experience) trips for DCSD K-8 grade students.

The Major Saver program benefits the Davenport Schools Foundation and each school. Since 2012, over $565,000 has been raised from the Major Saver program. With the funds raised, the Davenport Schools Foundation supports the Great Minds program.

Some of the Great Minds GLOE trips include: Putnam Museum and Science Center, Figge Art Museum, John Deere Davenport Works, and Junior Achievement Biztown. In addition, each participating school receives a portion of the proceeds directly to use as it deems fit to benefit students.

Thank you!!! What a successful first year Fill the Bus School Supplies Drive!

With your help, we filled the bus, and these photos don’t begin to show the impressive amount the 100+ vehicles generously donated. We also received another $500 to purchase even more items for our students.

A huge THANK YOU to our partner KWQC-TV6 for hosting and Davenport Printing Company, Modern Woodmen of America, Target, Walmart, AllTown Bus Service, DCSD and our amazing volunteers for making it possible.

Join us for the Davenport Schools Foundation Annual School Supplies Drive on Friday, August 7, from 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at KWQC-TV6 on Brady Street in Davenport.

All school supplies are needed, but our greatest needs include:
✏️ Pencils
📓 Notebooks
📁 Plain-colored folders
🖍️ Dry-erase markers
💧 Water bottles
🖍️ Highlighters
📝 Post-it Notes

Every donation—big or small—helps local students walk into the classroom with the tools they need to succeed. Pick up a few extra items during your next shopping trip and help make a difference!
