Congratulations on your retirement, Major Brown!
Please join us in congratulating Davenport Police Assistant Chief Major Jamie Brown on his retirement after 30 years of dedicated service to our community!
Major Brown began his career in 1995 and has proudly served in every division of the department. Over the years, he has served in numerous roles including Field Training Officer, Gang Unit Investigator, Internal Affairs Officer, Commander of the Patrol Division, Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division, and Emergency Services Team Commander. In 2022, he was promoted to Major and has served as Assistant Chief of Police since.
Throughout his career, Major Brown has earned numerous awards and commendations, including: four Excellent Duty Bars, four Unit Citations, a 30-Year Good Conduct Bar, and a Commendation Bar. He was also selected as the 2003 Jaycee’s Officer of the Year and received the 2022 Noon Optimist Respect for Law Award.
Major Brown’s leadership, dedication, and passion for public service have made a lasting impact on our department and community. Please join us in thanking him for his incredible service and wishing him the very best in retirement!
