The Scott County Health Department is dedicated to providing public health services to address everyday and emerging health issues. Staff at the health department work hard to provide the ten essential public health services:

The Scott County Health Department is responsible for the day-to-day safety and health of the public. On any given day, staff are conducting restaurant inspections, inspecting water wells, providing immunizations, testing for STD’s and HIV, writing grants, providing education to the community, and much more. Staff also addresses emerging issues such as SARS, West Nile Virus, healthcare provider shortages, and Bio-Emergency threats, as well as Influenza and Pertussis.
