🚧 🚦Intersection safety improvements are set to begin at Division and Northwest Boulevard on Monday, April 5. Initially, the project will reduce Division St to one lane in each direction through the intersection. In a few weeks, travel on Northwest Blvd will be limited through the intersection.

🚦The traffic signal will be set to flashing for the duration of the project. Please be reminded to treat the intersection as a four-way stop when traveling through the area.

The project will widen the intersection, improve the shoulder, install designated left-turn lanes, and upgrade the location's traffic signal. All work is estimated to be complete by late June 2021.

Of interest, 80% of the project was funded through a grant from the Iowa DOT Traffic Safety Improvement Program.

Beautiful aerial video of Iowa in winter, including Davenport!
These two young man we're working across the street from my house at Hayes pool I asked them if they could fix the hole in the street in front of my driveway, they are the two nicest young men that I've ever met from the City of Davenport I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!!🥰😍
Can. Someone please come down 2 five hundred block and address this standing water sorry it the five hundred if Clark Street
61st and welcome way bent my back suspension
Way to talk out of both sides of your mouth, DPW! While out taking a walk and picking up trash along Duck Creek trail, I came across these signs right next to your "No Mow Prairie Buffer" signs east of Jersey Ridge Rd. The No Mow signs are a joke, since I see these areas mowed all the time, but now you're also spraying poison right next to them!? In the 10-15 years I've been regularly walking this trail, I've watched these areas devolve from native prairie parkland with several species of native wild flowers (bee balm, black-eyed Susans, yellow and purple cone flowers, etc.) to virtual monocultures of invasive Queen Anne's Lace and other weeds! Don't you think it's time to stop screwing with Mother Nature?!😡
Shout out to you today I turned in potholes at end of hayes and division and you filled them in less than 24 hours Thank you so much 👍👍👍
Raises hand...excuse me...has anyone checked to see how alaska does it? Do we have weather cloud in iowa? Does iowa dot have weather cloud? Are we using it to put the salt brine down at the right time and temperature to avoid making ice rather than preventing it?
2511 n. Division st. Davenport Ia Can we get our money back for the filled potholes from last summer. These keep getting worse each time they are filled. I bet we could catch fish in there! 😁
Cant see pulling out of alley due to snow banks being too tall.
Why do we need to clear sidewalks that plows cover in snow for "safety" if all year round the city does not maintain those sidewalks to be free of cracks for wheelchairs strollers walkers bicycles...pedestrians in general? Are you still working on federal compliance for the blind bumpy corner installations? Why do we not see this being done nonstop til it is completed what is the progress on it? What is the progress on adding new sidewalks where a sidewalk ends to nowhere? What is the future projected sidewalk . repairs schedule looking like to repair sidewalks with issues? If you cannot manage all the streets because there are too many perhaps you could try managing sidewalks?
Oh nice. take down your city website so you dont get flooded with complaints about crappy road management. 🙄 please hire competent management and fix this. 16 years and still no improvements.
It would cost way less than 33 million a year if you would stop wasting tax payer money patching holes with rocks and tar that washes away. Stop throwing our money down the drain and start actually repairing by rebuilding streets better. Why make them look worse. It looks like a bunch of children patched the streets. No wait that is an insult to children. It looks like a lot of lazy drunken adults who dont care about our city patched the streets with rocks and tar that washes away just so they can get a paycheck and have no care of what the finished work looks like. Please do better. Way better. And stay home if you really don't care.
