Today is National Dollar Day!

With Public Power, your dollar goes farther.

In 2024, Nebraska had the 3rd-lowest average residential electricity rates in the nation at just 9.07¢ per kWh. At Butler Public Power District, our residential rates are even lower than that!

It's just one more way we're committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to the communities we serve.

July is Ice Cream Month! 🍦

Keep your frozen treats tasting their best all month long by making sure your freezer is set to 0°F. Not only does it keep your ice cream at the perfect consistency, but it's also the temperature the Department of Energy recommends for maximum efficiency. And don't forget to check that your freezer door seals tightly to keep the cold air in!

We love our curious cows — but they really love rubbing on electrical equipment.
When cattle graze near meter boxes, load control boxes, or any electrical panels, their rubbing, scratching, and leaning can cause serious damage. A simple fence keeps both your livestock and our equipment safe. It can also avoid costly expenses for you to replace or repair our electrical equipment.

We love cows — and we love keeping your power reliable. Thanks for helping us protect both!
