Listen for the Easter Egg we’ve planted, and respond back to our PTA President Marissa Zschoche with the answer to earn your PTA Points! We’ll be distributing rewards after this first trimester for all classes who reach the PTA Points goal. Please list your students’ classroom teachers.

Reminder - we’re holding our PTA meeting tonight! We hope to see you at 5:30 p.m. in room C1. We’ll have Zoom access for those who aren’t able to join in person.

Playworks will join to share specifics about the Recess Reboot program we recently launched. We’ll also hear from The Bike Campaign and will discuss plans for fall conference week, book fair, holiday staff gifts and the auction.

Reminder - this is our last PTA meeting before we distribute prizes for the classrooms that reach our first trimester goal!

Good morning MME families!

We wanted to send an update about the Welcome Back Fiesta tomorrow, from 4-6 p.m. We've moved the event indoors due to the forecasted heat, so everyone can enjoy the event in our air conditioned MPR!

We'll have food truck options and Kona Ice available for purchase, with covered seating at our lunch tables located right behind the MPR.

There will be crafts for the kids, booths to learn more about our PTA programs and community resources. Plus the opportunity to mingle with other school families, pick up your student's FREE MME t-shirt and find your student's classroom.

For families bringing bikes to the event, The Bike Campaign will be providing bike inspections, fitting helmets, adjusting seat height and more. And Girl Scout Troop 11 is collecting supplies for Empower Yolo (wishlist: empoweryolo.org/wish-list/)
We hope you can join us to beat the heat and celebrate the start of the school year together!

¡Buenas dias, familias de MME!

Quería enviarles un recordatorio para nuestra Fiesta de Bienvenida mañana, de 4 a 6 p. m. Debido al calor pronosticado, hemos trasladado el evento al interior para que todos puedan disfrutarlo en nuestro salón MPR con aire acondicionado.

Tendremos opciones de food trucks y Kona Ice disponibles para comprar, con mesas para comer a la sombra ubicadas justo detrás del salón multipropósito (MPR).

Habrá manualidades para los niños, puestos informativos para aprender más sobre nuestros programas de la PTA y recursos comunitarios. Además, tendrán la oportunidad de conversar con otras familias de la escuela, recoger GRATIS la camiseta del MME para su estudiante y encontrar el salón de clases de su estudiante.

Para las familias que traigan bicicletas al evento, The Bike Campaign ofrecerá inspecciones de bicicletas, ajuste de cascos, ajuste de la altura del asiento y más. Y la Tropa 11 de Girl Scouts estará recolectando suministros para Empower Yolo (lista de ítems deseados: empoweryolo.org/wish-list/)

We'll also be collecting used MME spirit wear that we can include in our gear swap later in the year.

¡Les recordamos que se unan a nosotros el viernes para la Fiesta de Bienvenida de MME! Los esperamos de 4 a 6 p. m. en el Patio MME. Tendremos food trucks, Kona Ice, actividades para niños y puestos de programas de la Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA) y recursos comunitarios. También recolectaremos ropa deportiva usada de MME para incluirla en nuestro intercambio de artículos más adelante.

The Marguerite Montgomery Elementary PTA is excited to host park playdates for incoming kindergarten and TK students, to get to meet one another and find some friendly faces heading into the first day of school. We have two date options to choose from based on what best fits into your schedule. We hope to see you there!
