SwimAmerica-Davis is celebrating 27 years of splashes, smiles, and first swims!

For 27 years, we’ve had the privilege of helping swimmers build confidence in and around the water. From babies blowing their first bubbles to swimmers mastering new skills, every milestone has been an honor to witness.

Water hazards aren’t just at pools.

They’re in bathtubs, buckets, fountains, backyard ponds, even toilets. That’s what makes them so easy to miss.

For young children, it only takes a small amount of water and a brief moment of distraction for a serious situation to happen. That’s why awareness matters everywhere, not just during swim time.

Keep doors to bathrooms closed and use toilet locks for toddlers. Empty buckets, kiddie pools, and containers immediately after use.

And most importantly, layer safety: supervision + barriers + swim skills.

Water safety starts at home, not just at the pool.

Water safety matters everywhere, whether you have a pool or not.

Pools need proper barriers like fences and self-latching gates, but even small amounts of water like bathtubs, buckets, and pet bowls can be dangerous for young children.

Simple barriers make a big difference. Secure your pool area, keep bathroom doors closed, use toilet locks, and empty containers right away.

These small steps help prevent accidents and give you extra time to respond!
