01/01/2014
One of those tiny, huge words in the English language, ‘YET’. The year 2013 has been quite a ride. Our first guests for the year had to cancel as family members vehicles and homes had literally blown away in the Moore tornado. The next weekends group, a family reunion, had to cancel the reunion due to a senior family member suffering stroke. Standing with our pastor through life threatening bizarre heart issues. Grieving with loved ones enduring the loss of their son. Nights and days wishing you could wake up and this nightmare would not really be happening. Seeking some relief from the aching inside. Surviving solely on the wave after wave of God’s sustaining grace. Distress – yes, peril – yes.
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
What we have seen, again, that the purpose and plans of our loving Father, the King of Kings, are not thwarted. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever would believe in Him, should not perish, but would have everlasting life.
And so for the year 2014, we hope that you would come to know Him, as the Best Daddy in the world, that He is. That you would be filled with His purpose, peace, and fulfillment.
