This week, we were pleased to accept an award for use of our brand new Paratech Fire & Rescue Equipment lifting bags in a recent incident in which we along with Tri-District Emergency Ambulance Service and Rock City Fire Protection District, were able to safely remove a patient from an overturned UTV with their legs pinned. These were purchased with grant funds at no cost to our community. Thank you to all responders and to our neighbors for the assist!

Each year, Anheuser-Busch pauses beer production to produce emergency drinking water, and in partnership with National Volunteer Fire Council ensures volunteer firefighters have the critical hydration they need during extreme heat. We’re proud to be one of the departments receiving this donation to help keep our team hydrated during wildfires and extended responses. A big thank you to G & M Distributors, Inc. for delivering the water to our station!

Happy Independence Day to all! 250 years later, remember and appreciate the freedoms we have that so many take for granted. Stay safe and be careful with your celebrations. We went everyone to end the weekend with the same amount of fingers as they started with!

It’s time once again to prepare for incoming storms. These are predicted to be very severe, possibly derecho type storms with high damaging winds. Take precautions now and plan ahead. Timing is estimated late morning.

Congratulations to the Dakota HS softball team on their state championship win! Welcome back will begin in Davis around 5:45pm and advance toward Rock City. Come out and cheer for the girls!
