Yesterday, members of the UC Davis Police Department proudly carried the “Flame of Hope” in support of Special Olympics athletes and the incredible mission they represent. UCDPD is honored to have participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Northern California to champion these amazing athletes. 🏃🔥
Each year, law enforcement agencies across the country come together to champion inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity for individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports, leadership, and community.💙💛

In honor of May being Safety Month, we want to take a quick moment to share some essential Bike and Pedestrian Safety Tips. 🚲Whether you’re on wheels or walking to your destination, everyone plays a role in keeping our Aggie community safe! 💙💛

Today is Peace Officers Memorial Day 🚔. We honor the fallen heroes who gave their lives while serving and protecting their communities.
At UCDPD, we are reminded of the dedication, courage, and sacrifice carried by officers every day. We are grateful for those who continue to serve our campus community and forever honor those who are no longer with us— may their lives be a blessing. 💙💛

Huge congratulations to the UCDPD Cadet Academy graduates! 👏🎓 These cadets have officially completed months of dedication, perseverance, and hard-earned training. We are so proud of their growth and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make.

We also want to thank the officers and experts who joined us as guest instructors along the way. Thank you for giving us your time and sharing your expertise with our Cadets. 💙💛

💪Empower yourself with the tools to stay safe!✨ In honor of Safety Month we will be hosting introductory self-defense classes! They are now open for registration to ALL UC Davis Affiliates. Come explore fundamental techniques with an experienced team in a welcoming setting. Scan the QR code or click the link in our bio to sign up!

Today our staff is wearing denim with a purpose! 👖 Every year, we wear jeans on the last Wednesday of April to stand in solidarity with survivors and to raise awareness about sexual violence. Denim Day highlights the importance of believing and supporting survivors.

On campus, students can connect with for confidential support services, to speak with a CARE advocate, and to access resources and events focused on sexual assault prevention and awareness.
