The Parks and Community Services Department mission is to be stewards of memories through engaging recreational programs, community connection and parks that promote relaxation and play. We provide a wide variety of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages, including aquatics, alternative recreation for persons with disabilities, community events, gymnastics and dance programs, outdoor

education, specialty camps, special interest classes, teen services, senior services, youth and adult sports, and the rental management of community facilities, athletic fields, parks and picnic areas. Parks & Community Services also manages the operation of the Davis Community Transit and Child Care Services, which provides information and services relating to child care providers and parenting skills throughout Yolo County.

School is back in session for everyone’s furry friends! 🐶

Dog training classes through the City of Davis start up on Monday, September 14, at Central Park! Puppy classes are available for dogs 3-10 months old, and basic manners classes are for dogs 6 months and older. Human participation is required 🦮🧍‍♀️

¿Qué es el apoyo para la inclusión?

Los “Líderes de Inclusión” de nuestro Programa reciben entrenamiento para comprender y apoyar mejor a los participantes neurodiversos, ayudándoles a tener una experiencia exitosa y significativa junto a sus compañeros.

El apoyo puede incluir:

➡️ Adaptación o modificación de actividades
➡️ Apoyo emocional y social

¿Cómo solicito apoyo para la inclusión?

Los participantes de programas recreativos que soliciten asistencia deben marcar “SE NECESITA ASISTENCIA ADA” durante el proceso de inscripción.

Si solicita asistencia después de haberse inscrito en un programa, comuníquese con nuestro Coordinador de Recreación Adaptada.

Un miembro de nuestro equipo de recreación adaptada se comunicará con usted para realizar una entrevista de admisión (“intake”) antes del inicio del programa.

Davis, the wait is over! 🛹🎉

Join us Friday, Sept. 18, from 5:30–7 PM for the opening celebration of the newly renovated Community Park Skate Park!

Come celebrate with a ribbon cutting, vendors, free merchandise and music. After 30+ years, this $1.2 million community-driven project brings a brand new space for skaters of all ages and skill levels to gather, recreate and connect.

The skate park will be open daily from dawn to dusk, with some final landscaping work continuing through November. We can’t wait to celebrate this exciting new chapter with the Davis community!

The PM Zone is back for the 2026-2027 school year! Kids age 6 to 12 years old can join us for arts and crafts, games, and dedicated homework time 📝

The PM Zone meets Monday through Friday from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Afternoon snack is provided daily!
