July gave us plenty to celebrate at Broken Shackle Ranch!
🎓 Three young men graduated from our program.
Two of our graduates completed their GED and earned their Automotive Maintenance and TIA certifications, leaving BSR with education and industry-recognized credentials for future employment opportunities.

Our third graduate earned his TIA certification and left BSR with something else worth celebrating, a job right here in our community! 👏 We are extremely thankful for the local business that is giving him the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and building his future.

Different accomplishments. Different paths. But the same goal: helping each young man leave Broken Shackle Ranch better prepared for the future ahead of him.
We are so proud of these three young men and the work they put in to reach graduation.

The BSR Grant Guru strikes again!

Daniel H Robinson submitted a grant for vocational supplies and it was awarded to BSR today! We are so thankful for all her hard work and dedication to funding this program.

This is the student we recently celebrated for earning his NCCER Construction certification! He earned that BSR hat and wears it proudly!

Now 18 and with permission to share, he showed even more initiative by asking to purchase his own tools using money he earned through chores and WIOA wages.

We’re incredibly thankful for his placement agency, who stepped in and graciously funded his tools, getting him even closer to success as he steps into his future.

Proud is an understatement. 💪

At Broken Shackle Ranch, we don’t just offer a place to stay—we provide a path forward. Through:
• Hands-on vocational training (Construction, Welding, Heavy Equipment, Automotive)
• GED education
• Mentorship and life skills
• Real-world work experience

We equip young men with the tools they need to break cycles, build confidence, and step into a future with purpose.
Every young man who walks through our doors has a story—but here, they also get a second chance to write a new one.

🎉 Big congratulations!

One of our guys passed his NCCER Carpentry and is now certified! 🛠️

He’s a great kid! He is always helping others, putting people before himself, and showing up with a positive attitude every day. Not sure we’ve ever seen him upset about anything here.

He’s put in the work, stayed consistent, and earned every bit of this. We’re proud of you M and excited for what’s ahead! 💪

Main House left hall remodel is DONE ✅
Mr. Mike and Mr. Larry have done an amazing job with this remodel all while teaching students the construction trade.

Projects like this not only improve our facility, but they also give our guys the opportunity to learn real construction skills on real projects.
