On July 28, 2023, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced the identification of U.S. Army Pfc. James L. Miller of Detroit, MI. Pfc. Miller was reported killed in action on July 30, 1950, while taking part in defending the town of Sangju. His remains, among recovered remains previously designated as unidentifiable, were buried as X-5156 in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (the Punchbowl). As part of the DPAA Korean War Disinterment Project, X-5156 was disinterred in November 2019. X-5156 was identified as Pfc. Miller and confirmed as accounted for in November 2022. PFC Miller will be buried at Great Lakes National Cemetery on a date to be determined.

Bluebell Beach. There will be a short Membership Meeting before we eat.
The Chapter will supply meat, condiments and eating utensils. Bring a dish to pass and a big appetite.
