While the new location of the Dawson County Health Department is open at 751 Hwy 53 east Suite 100, our phone system hasn’t yet completed the transition. Please be aware that while our phone system is down today 6/17, we are still open for business at our new location!

The Dawson County Environmental Health Office will be closed for moving on Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17.

‼️Septic system final inspections will be the only task our office will be performing during this time. ‼️

On Thursday, June 18 the Dawson County Environmental Health Office will reopen at the new office located at:
751 Hwy 53 East, Suite 120
Dawsonville, GA 30534

It’s finally happening!

We had a great turnout for the Grand Opening yesterday, and want to thank everyone that had a part in putting it together. We also appreciate those who attended to see the building that we expect to take us into the next 25-30 years of serving our growing population.

Contrary to an earlier post, we have not been able to complete the move into the new building. As a result, both the Health Department Clinic and the Environmental Health Office are continuing to operate from the existing offices for a little while longer.

Please keep an eye out on this page for updates regarding our move into the new facility.

The time has finally arrived! We will be moving to our new building next week, April 20-24. The Health Department Clinic will not be operational during this time. If everything falls into place just right we will be open on Monday, April 27. There will be a grand opening ceremony at 10:30 that morning (see previous post).

The new location address is in the photos below. It is on Hwy 53 east of downtown, next to The Gym and J&S Kitchen.

The Environmental Health Office will still be available for final inspections. If you have any Environmental Health needs, please call us at 706-265-2930.

Please be patient with us as we transition to the new location!
