♻️ Electronic Recycling & Paper Shredding was a HUGE success on Saturday!!! Document Destruction collected 5,850 pounds of paper, that was 18 of 95 gallon trash cans recycled. As you can also see in the pictures, we had a ton of electronics collected from Premier Surplus! Thank you to everyone for all your hard work that was put into this event and special thanks to all the wonderful citizens who came out recycled ♻️

Save the date: The 35th Annual Shore Sweep will be held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023! More details to come.

Our annual Shore Sweep event spans the entire lake and averages 140,000 pounds of trash and over 1,000 volunteers annually.

The Dawson County Recycling Center is now accepting scrap metals (ONLY). This includes copper, steel, aluminum and various wire types. Scrap metal is found in lawn mowers, stoves, gutters, tire rims, grills, lawn chairs, pipes, barrels and much more.

*** Renovations continue on our multi-stream recycling area, which includes plastics, paper and cardboard. Our new multi-stream bins are projected to open in July. We appreciate your continued patience as we renovate and improve our recycling center. ♻️♻️♻️

Keep Dawson County Beautiful and the Dawson County Transfer Station are offering FREE tire-recycling on May 13th, from 7am - 5pm. 🚗🚗🚗 *Up to 10 standard car/ truck tires are allowed per load. Time for some Spring cleaning!
