📢 Meeting Change Notice 📢

The Board of Trustees of Jefferson Township hereby announces a change to its regularly scheduled meetings. The Regular Trustee Meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. has been rescheduled to Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 6:00 P.M.

The meetings are being rescheduled in observance of National Night Out.

A notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing for BZA Case 2025-018, will be held in the Jefferson Township Office located at One Business Park Dr, Dayton, OH 45417, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 5:00 pm. to hear an appeal for the Board to make a decision on an extension of the June 1, 2026, deadline to relocate the pig pen.

🚧 A Major Improvement for Jefferson Township’s Road Department! 🌿🧂

We’re proud to share the completion of our new covered salt storage facility, made possible through the Ohio EPA H2Ohio Chloride Reduction Grant Program and Jefferson Township’s commitment to investing in our community.

For years, our Road Department relied on an aging salt shed that had reached the end of its useful life. Today, we have a modern facility specifically designed to protect our road salt from rain and snow, reduce waste, and help protect our local waterways from excess chloride runoff.

This project means:

✅ Better protection of taxpayer-funded road salt
✅ Reduced environmental impact
✅ Improved winter road maintenance operations
✅ A safer, more efficient workspace for our Road Department
✅ Long-term savings through improved material management

Projects like this demonstrate how grant funding can help local governments improve infrastructure while being good stewards of both public dollars and the environment.

A special thank you to our Road Department staff, project partners, and everyone who helped make this project a reality.
