This week, Officers Murphy and Juntunen received a First Responder Award presented by the I-94 West Chamber of Commerce in recognition for their life-saving response to a medical emergency.

In May of 2025, Officers Juntunen and Murphy responded to a medical emergency where an individual was unresponsive and not breathing. Upon arrival, they immediately performed CPR and deployed an AED until additional medical personnel arrived on scene. The patient was transported to the hospital where they made a full recovery.
