South Community Foster Care

South Community Foster Care Caring, Helping and Uniting families Voluntary placements in the program range from 6 to 9 months. Family foster homes are also available.

South Community is committed to improving the quality of life and behavioral health status of children, adults and families residing in the Greater Miami Valley. This is achieved by providing a dynamic continuum of behavioral healthcare services and by drawing upon the health-promoting resources of its consumers and the community it serves.

The Foster Care Program serves children and adolescents with severe behavioral and emotional issues which place them at risk for a more restrictive placement if not addressed and stabilized. In a voluntary placement with the program, parents can maintain custody of the child. The Foster Care Program also offers long-term placement options for children with emotional/behavioral problems who are in the custody of children’s services.
