🐾 A big thank you to Nora for stopping by our Darke County hangar! Therapy dog visits are always a highlight for our crews, a little wag of the tail goes a long way after long shifts. Thanks for spreading some joy, Nora!

Nora visited Careflight! She really wanted to jump in and check it out, but settled for lots of pets from the crew instead. We plan on making this a monthly visit, and can't wait to go back! Nora is about halfway to earning her therapy dog title.

In the demanding world of emergency medical services, moments of respite and comfort can significantly uplift the spirit of professionals who face high pressure daily. Recognizing this need, the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association (MVPTA) has been bringing a dose of warmth and relaxation directly to the Careflight duty crews during their shifts. These visits provide a welcomed and positive distraction, enhancing crew well-being amidst their critical work. Whether through the gentle wag of a tail or a cold-nosed nuzzle, Smolder (seen here) and his fellow therapy animals remind us that even in the midst of urgency, there is space for kindness, healing, and "pawsitivity."

Part of Careflight's commitment to safety includes bringing education to our local EMS crews regarding familiarization and safe operation near the aircraft, long before an emergency happens.
