23 students from the Ponitz Automotive pathway had the chance to experience the Sonsio Grand Prix in Indianapolis! 🏁

The event allowed our students real-world experience and the chance to capture their memories.

Welcome to Dayton Public Schools, Mr. Heitman, the new Assistant Principal at Valerie Elementary! ☀️

Learn more about Mr. Heitman - I am from a small town called Anna, OH about an hour north of Dayton. I have been teaching for the last 9 years and this is my first year as an administrator! I am super excited for this new role within Valerie Elementary. I have always wanted to be an assistant principal and I feel so lucky to have this position. I graduated from BGSU in 2017. I moved to Columbus during the pandemic in 2020 and met my wife, Maddie, while living there. We now live in Kettering with our two little boys (Baron 3, Baker 1). I am a huge Bengals fan and love to golf. I love playing outside with my boys and to cook and grill out for friends and family. I am so excited for the 2026-2027 school year to begin!
