Over the past 3 days our crews had the opportunity to sharpen their skills alongside one of our mutual aid partners (the City of Bellbrook Fire Department) during hands-on training utilizing the Ohio Fire Academy's Mobile Structural Fire Attack Lab. This trailer offers LIVE fire and realistic scenarios fed by propane in a safe environment for training. ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ

Training focused on:
๐Ÿ’งWater mapping and nozzle techniques
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’ Hose advancement
๐Ÿ“ฃ Fireground communication

Working together in realistic scenarios helps build confidence, improve teamwork, and strengthen the partnerships we rely on when real emergencies happen. Regular training ensures we're prepared to serve our community safely and effectively.

A HUGE thank you to the Ohio Fire Academy and their Instructors for leading this training and to BFD for joining us and helping make this training a success. ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ“ข We are PROUD to be nationally recognized once again by the American Heart Association for our commitment to providing research-based, high-quality heart attack and stroke care with a Mission: Lifeline EMS GOLD achievement award! In addition to reaching the highest award possible, we also made the Target Honor Roll for both Stroke and Heart Attacks.

This is a HUGE accomplishment, as this is only our second year participating in this program. Last year we we obtain an EMS Silver achievement award. This is just another example of the exemplary care we provide to our community and the high standards we hold ourselves accountable to. ๐Ÿš‘ ๐Ÿฅ‡

Over the past 3 days we had the pleasure of hosting a very important but not so silent partner in making sure we are delivering the HIGHEST LEVEL of quality of care to our citizens, community and guests.

Premier Healthโ€™s CareFlight Air & Mobile Services conducted a landing zone safety lecture and orientation on its next generation Leonardo AW169 helicopter. This new airframe replaced its 34 year old fleet of aging Dauphin AS365 helicopters and is the largest, fastest and most advanced air ambulance in the region.

A HUGE thank you to all the flight crews that we were here this week!

Today and tomorrow we are assisting the Dayton Fire Department with providing EMS coverage at the CenterPoint Energy Dayton Airshow. This is UTV72 first official special detail since itโ€™s been inservice. This is just another small example of our commitment to excellence in being good community partners with our surrounding fire and EMS agencies. If youโ€™re at the airshow today stop by the west FirstAid tent and see us! Make sure you hydrate and wear your sunscreen today.

Last week our crews had the opportunity to put their skills, knowledge and abilities to the test as an emergency apparatus driver in a Mobile Driving Simulator Lab. They went through several real life scenarios that challenged their emergency driving protocols, defensive maneuvering, and legal right-of-way guidelines. A HUGE Thank You to the State Fire Marshal and the Ohio Fire Academy!

Today a new front line medic (ambulance) was placed in-service. This unit replaces a 2017 front line medic that will be placed in to active reserve status that will respond on all 3rd out EMS runs. This unit has been on order since 2022. The 2010 reserve unit was removed from service last year due to mechanical issues. A HUGE thank you to Horton Emergency Vehicles for another quality product and to our administration and the citizens for their continued SUPPORT! ๐Ÿš‘
