Back-to-School success! ✨🎒🚲

Our community showed up in a big way to help Dayton’s young people begin the school year feeling prepared, supported and celebrated!

Club members and families enjoyed an evening filled with free food, games and valuable community resources. With support from Greater Dayton RTA & Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1385, Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana, Furniture Fair and Sunbelt Rentals, we distributed more than 200 backpacks filled with school supplies—and 47 young people went home with new bikes!

More than the supplies distributed, the evening was a powerful reminder that our youth and families have an entire community cheering them on. Thank you to the partners, volunteers and supporters whose generosity made this celebration of connection and opportunity possible.

A special thank-you to Economy Linen and Towel Service, Inc., our Caregiver and Community Engagement Sponsor, for helping us create meaningful experiences that support our young people and families throughout the year. đź’™

We look forward to resuming normal after-school program hours on Friday, August 28 at 2:30pm.

As we continue moving From Here, Forward, we’re highlighting the people who believe deeply in what’s possible for Dayton’s young people.

Next up is Boys & Girls Club of Dayton board member, Trevor Collier. Below, Trevor shares his belief in the power of opportunity—and his hope that every child in Dayton has the chance to build a bright future.

Through his time with the Club, Trevor has seen firsthand the impact of a safe, supportive place where young people can learn, grow and feel at home. Thanks to campaign leaders like Trevor, our campaign champions and generous donors, we’re building a state-of-the-art facility that will allow us to double the number of youth and teens we can serve.

Our Back to School Bash is THIS WEEK! 🎒🎉

Join us Thursday, August 27 from 5:30–7:30 PM at Central State West (840 Germantown St.) for an evening of free food, games, backpacks, school supplies, community resources, and plenty of fun for the whole family!

PLUS, we’ll be raffling off 47 bikes! 🚲

Today marks the first day of 2026 after-school programming at the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton, and we’re so excited to welcome our members back for another year of learning, growing, connecting and having fun!

A milestone made even more meaningful by the people helping bring it to life. đź’™

Yesterday, our community came together to leave their mark on the future home of the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton, signing a beam that will soon become part of our new Club.

More than signatures on a beam, each name represents the community of champions who believe in Dayton’s young people and the opportunities this new space will create for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this special milestone—and to every donor, partner, supporter and community champion who has helped make this vision possible. Because of you, we are building a place where young people can belong, discover what’s possible and build their brightest futures.

We’re one step closer to opening the doors to our new home for Dayton’s youth and teens. Together, we’re moving From Here… Forward!
