American Legion Frank E. Bauers Post 42 This is a veteran based civic organization with the goals of helping past, present, and future service members, their families and our community.

The next meeting for the month of September will be on the 20th. Our regularly scheduled meeting for the 13th is during the Columbia County Fair, so we will be holding it the week after.
This will be the meeting we go over last years Patriotism contest submissions and choosing a prompt for next years contest.

The American Legion would like to thank all the volunteers who came out today to help place Flags and Crosses on Veterans graves at the Dayton Cemetery. We very much appreciate your help.
Additionally we would like to thank the Dayton Chamber and all others who posted about the event.

Anyone interested in helping with setting out Flags and Crosses at the Dayton Cemetery can show up there at 11am on Friday. We will have them out by their section with the section maps available at the maintenance shed.
