What a great afternoon at Sinclair Park for STEM in the Park!

A huge thank you to Horizon Science Academy for bringing an incredible lineup of hands-on STEM activities for our Summer of Discovery participants. Kids had the chance to experiment with giant bubbles, explore robotics, tackle engineering challenges, and discover how science and technology can be both educational and fun.

It was exciting to see so many young minds engaged, asking questions, solving problems, and learning through play. Events like this help inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, innovators, and creators right here in our community.

We're excited to welcome Horizon Science Academy, who will be leading an afternoon of hands-on STEM activities designed to help kids explore science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and engaging way.

Whether your child loves building, experimenting, discovering how things work, or simply getting their hands dirty with a cool project, this is an event they won't want to miss.

🌳 America 250: Ohio Outdoors 🌳

As we celebrate America 250-Ohio, we're highlighting one of Harrison Township's greatest natural treasures: our rivers.

The Great Miami River and the Stillwater River have shaped life in our community for centuries. Long before Ohio became a state and America reached its 250th anniversary, these waterways served as important travel routes, provided food and resources, and helped support the communities that grew along their banks.

Today, the rivers continue to play an important role in our quality of life, offering opportunities for fishing, kayaking, wildlife viewing, and enjoying the natural beauty of the Miami Valley.

The Great Miami and Stillwater Rivers are more than just waterways. They are part of the story of Harrison Township, Ohio, and America.

As we celebrate 250 years of our nation, we're grateful for the natural resources that have connected generations and continue to make our community a special place to live, work, and play.

A great opportunity to support a local effort at a local restaurant! Head out to Georges Family Restaurant tomorrow to help support the Northridge Alumni Veterans Memorial right here in our township.

Tomorrow is the big day for the "𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄" Fundraiser at Georges Family Restaurant!

Please plan on joining us on 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟎, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟒:𝟎𝟎 - 𝟕:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 and enjoy a great meal while supporting the Northridge Alumni Veterans Memorial expansion project!

Thanks to Georges Family Restaurant a percentage of all collected receipts during that time — both dine-in and carry out — will be donated to help expand the memorial and honor additional Northridge alumni veterans.

Members of the Northridge Alumni Veterans Memorial Committee will be there to visit with guests and answer questions about the memorial project, including memorial founder 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫.

Please share this post so we can have a big turnout for the "𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄" event. Each meal purchased can help support a lasting tribute to our Northridge Alumni Veterans who served our country.

📢 Summer of Discovery Update

Due to scheduling issues, our Forces in Motion program scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

The good news is there's still plenty of Summer of Discovery fun ahead! Join us this Friday at 1 p.m. at Sinclair Park for STEM in the Park with Horizon Science Academy. Kids will have the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through fun, hands-on activities.

All Summer of Discovery programs are free and open to the community.

We look forward to seeing you Friday at Sinclair Park!

🚔 What a great day at Sinclair Park for our Junior Deputy event!

We had beautiful weather, an outstanding turnout, and plenty of hands-on fun for our first responders. Kids tackled the inflatable obstacle course, met K-9 Kirk, practiced SWAT training exercises, learned about traffic stops, and proudly earned their Junior Deputy badges.

A huge thank you to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and everyone who helped make today's event such a success. Programs like this give kids a chance to learn, explore, and connect with the public servants who help keep our community safe.

Our Summer of Discovery series continues next Friday, June 12 at 1 p.m. with STEM in the Park, presented by Horizon Science Academy. As always, the program is free and open to all families.

The annual Community Garage Sale will take place Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, all across Harrison Township.

Open to both sellers and shoppers from across the Miami Valley.
