The Federalist Society Dayton Lawyers Chapter The Federalist Society Dayton Lawyers Chapter

We are a group of Dayton-area attorneys and judges dedicated to the rule of law, separation of powers, and limited, constitutional government. We strive to foster public awareness and appreciation of these principles through public debates, lectures, and other events. And we seek to create an intentional community of likeminded professionals committed to excellence in the practice of law, service

to community, and the elevation of our jurisprudence through recourse to the founding principles and originalist argument.

Happy 250, America!๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

On July 4, 1776, our Founders boldly proclaimed that all are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. Their vision gave birth to a nation dedicated to liberty, limited government, the rule of law, and the enduring promise of self-government.

For 250 years, the United States has been guided by these enduring principles, which continue to inspire thoughtful debate, constitutional fidelity, and the pursuit of a more perfect Union.

Happy Independence Day and God Bless America from The Federalist Society.

The countdown to 250 is almost done.

The countdown to 250 is almost done.

On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress approved the resolution declaring that the United Colonies โ€œare, and of right ought to be, free and independent States.โ€ After months of war and debate, the vote formally severs political ties with Great Britain and establishes the colonies as sovereign governments. Members now turn to finalizing a declaration explaining the principles and grievances underlying the decision.

Happy Bill of Rights Day! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

On this day in 1791, the Bill of Rights was ratified securing core freedoms like free speech, religious liberty, due process, and the right to self-government. Today is a reminder of the core principles that protect individual rights, limit government power, and continue to shape American life.
