Wow, what a wet August! After the month's record rains, you might be wondering where all that water goes. In Dayton, rain runoff flows through the municipal storm water system into area waterways. But litter and debris around storm drains can go with the flow, ending up in rivers and streams.
That's where the Adopt-A-Drain program shows up and says "Not so fast, litter." All it takes is a broom and a few minutes for a volunteer to stop the bad stuff from taking a ride to the river. Dayton residents, businesses and organizations can get with the program.
