Yesterday, Butler Township Fire crews responded to a vehicle accident at the Englewood Dam after a vehicle drove off the side of the dam.

The passenger sustained injuries and was treated on scene before being transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Thank you to Vandalia Fire Department for their assistance on scene.

This afternoon, Butler Township Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on I-75S exit to Benchwood Road.

Engine 88 arrived to find the vehicle well involved in fire and quickly brought the incident under control, preventing the fire from spreading and helping minimize disruptions to traffic.

We’d like to thank our mutual aid partners and law enforcement for their assistance with traffic control and scene safety.

If you encounter emergency vehicles on the highway, remember to slow down and move over whenever possible. Your attention behind the wheel helps keep first responders and the public safe.
