Thank you to everyone who helped make our Back 2 School Bash such a success!

Because of the incredible generosity of our sponsors and the dedication of our amazing volunteers, we were able to provide children with backpacks and school supplies, along with free haircuts and hairstyling services to help them feel confident as they head back to the classroom. Seeing so many smiling faces reminded us what can happen when a community comes together to support its kids.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, barber, hairstylist, community partner, and staff member who helped make this event possible. Your generosity, talent, and dedication made this day truly unforgettable and helped students start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported. We couldn't have done it without you!

Enjoy free food, family-friendly activities, a SWAT truck display, and parents—don't forget to get your child a free Child ID while you're there!

Yesterday afternoon, the Montgomery County Drug-Free Coalition was proud to partner with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Riverside Police Department, Union Police Department, Dayton Police Department, Project DAWN, and dedicated community volunteers for GROW in Riverside.
Eight volunteer teams canvassed neighborhoods throughout the city, engaging 150 residents in meaningful conversations about available addiction and mental health resources. Volunteers also distributed seven naloxone kits to families and knocked on 231 additional doors, leaving information on how to connect with GROW representatives and access community services.

At the same time, Project DAWN volunteers visited local businesses, securing commitments from 11 establishments to participate in Narcan training and stock naloxone supplies.

Thank you to the City of Riverside and all of our community partners for their continued commitment to connecting residents with life-saving resources and support.

✂️ Calling all hairdressers and barbers! ✂️

Our Back 2 School Bash is returning for its second year on August 2nd, and we're looking for talented volunteers to help local kids head into the new school year feeling confident and ready to go.

Thanks to our amazing volunteers, this event continues to be a success—and we couldn't do it without you. If you're willing to donate your time and skills to provide haircuts, we'd love to have you join us in making a difference for families in our community.
