Thank you to the staff at Eastway for the opportunity to tour your facilities and learn more about the important community resources available. Eastway has been providing services to the Miami Valley area for almost 70 years for individuals living with mental illness and substance use disorders.

I was truly impressed by the passion and enthusiasm of the employees and the level of individualized care provided to clients. It is inspiring to see so many dedicated professionals working every day to support members of our community with compassion, dignity, and respect.

We are truly lucky to have this resource available in our local community!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day, and we are forever grateful.

As we spend time with family, friends, and our community this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. 🇺🇸

It is a privilege to celebrate this important milestone with the graduating class as they begin the next chapter of their legal careers. As a proud UDSL graduate, member of the legal community, and someone deeply committed to public service, I am grateful for the opportunity to share this special day with the graduates, their families, faculty, and friends.

🎉Congratulations to the Class of 2026 — your future is bright, and our communities will be stronger because of your service and leadership.🎉

Today on Law Day, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me to the bench. I still remember the moment I first joined the court—the sense of responsibility, the humility, and the deep commitment to serving our community with fairness and integrity.

Every day since has been an opportunity to listen, to learn, and to ensure that every person who enters the courtroom is heard and treated with respect. That responsibility is not something I take lightly.

I am incredibly proud to be part of this court and to serve in a role dedicated to upholding the rule of law and strengthening the trust our community places in the justice system.

Continuing to grow and learn is an important part of serving our community well.

This week, I had the opportunity to participate in continuing judicial education at the Ohio Supreme Court—strengthening my knowledge, sharpening my skills, and staying up to date on the law. The law is constantly evolving, and it’s essential that judges remain committed to learning in order to make fair, informed, and thoughtful decisions.

I am proud to invest the time and effort to be the best judge I can be for our community—listening carefully, applying the law faithfully, and striving every day to uphold justice.

I was excited to attend the Chancery Club Luncheon last week with the Dayton Bar Association, celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of our nation. 🇺🇸

It was a great opportunity to reflect on our country’s history and learn more about the U.S. presidents from Ohio—leaders who helped shape the course of our nation and its enduring commitment to the rule of law.

Grateful for the chance to connect with colleagues and continue learning from moments like these that remind us of the strength of our legal community and our shared responsibility to uphold justice.
