Tonight a foster family opened their hearts and home to a little bundle of joy. And because of YOU, we were able to provide them with an emergency care package filled with essentials for the little one.

These families sign up to foster but they never truly know when a child or children will need them.

Today we received a large donation of new diapers to provide out to foster families with new placements.
Also we were notified of a sibling set that came in to care over night with nothing! 😞 I wish I could say this is rare but unfortunately it is not. Thanks to all of our donors, YOU, we were able to immediately pack up 2 duffle bags worth of new clothes, shoes & socks, hygiene items And a handmade teddy bear 🧸 and a handmade blanket for each. These items were dropped off to the licensing agency, where the kids still are due to finding a home for them. If any of you are interested in opening your home to a child(ren) in need reach out and we can point you in the right direction.

🎂💙 Some birthdays carry a little more meaning than others..

This weekend we had the privilege of creating two very special birthday care package — each representing a very different chapter in a child’s foster care journey.

🎈 One package was for a kiddo who is spending their very first birthday in foster care. A birthday that may look very different than they ever imagined, but one we hope is filled with a little extra joy, comfort, and the reminder that they are cared for.

🎉 The second was for a kiddo who just celebrated their LAST birthday in foster care. ❤️

And because foster care journeys can change in an instant, we also provided a care package for a little one who experienced a change of placement through no fault of their own. Transitions can be confusing and emotional for children, and we hope this package helps bring a little comfort and something that feels like theirs during a time of change. 🧸💕

Three children. Three very different moments. Three reminders of why this work matters so much.

Thank you to ALL of YOU who make this possible.💙

💙🎸 THANKFUL THURSDAY!🎸💙

Today, our hearts are especially full as we share a HUGE THANK YOU to the Hard Rock Heals Foundation for selecting and awarding us with one of their 2026 Grants!🙏✨

We are truly honored, grateful, and thrilled to be chosen as a recipient. This generous support means so much to our organization and, most importantly, to the local foster youth and at-risk families we serve. 💙

At 1 Ohana 1 Community, we believe that we are stronger when we come together—and having community partners who believe in our mission makes such a tremendous difference. Your support helps us continue showing up when children and families need their community the most. 🫶

Thank you, Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, for helping us continue to turn compassion into action. 🎸❤️
