2025 Cork & Fork Chef Spotlight: Chef Mark McCann, Chef Instructor at the Daytona State College - Hospitality and Culinary Management Program

Chef was one of the very first graduates of the Associate of Science degree in Culinary Management back in the 90's and he has found his career come full circle to some of the same beginnings that he searched for when looking to further his knowledge and career.

Chef continues to share his culinary and hospitality experiences from his past career that include employment in local area restaurants, food distribution, and travelling to large sporting and convention-style events across the country. He continues to help foster the culinarians of tomorrow in volunteering with the Florida Restaurant Association High School ProStart Programs (Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association) where he was once awarded the Pineapple Award as Mentor of the Year for the State of Florida. Chef McCann is committed to the success of his students and the Daytona State College Culinary and Hospitality Program, which has certainly grown since its beginnings.
