Compassion in Action!!

I just received a phone call from a senior man who is desperate for help. Per Covid he lost his job, him and his wife are living off of Social Security. He has COPD, she has Rheumatoid Arthritis. They are behind in their lot rent, and have no money for food. As he shared his story with me; his shaky voice whimpered as he counted how many friends he already lost due to this coronavirus. I could barely contain myself. I heard the fear of the future in his voice, little did he know we were crying together. I don’t have the answers when I get these calls, and it’s breaks my heart to pieces. Majority of the people we are helping are senior citizens who all have one thing in common. Fear for the future.

This is my cry out to all of you. If you know of a senior who is alone, please check on them, and help them fill out this form. It only takes about 5 minutes. Help us help them. All too often our elders are forgotten.

💔🇻🇪 Our Hearts Are with the People of Venezuela 🇻🇪🙏

We are deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake that has impacted Venezuela. Our hearts break for the families who have lost loved ones, those who have been injured, and the countless communities now facing uncertainty and hardship.

While Healthy Souls International will not be deploying a team on this mission, we believe that supporting those who are answering the call is just as important.

We encourage our local community to come alongside this collection effort led by area churches. Every donation whether it’s toiletries, baby wipes, first aid supplies, or other requested items can bring comfort and hope to families in need.

Please take a moment to review the flyer for the list of needed supplies, drop-off location, and collection dates. If you’re able, consider making a donation and help these churches carry the love of Christ to the people of Venezuela.

Most importantly, we ask you to join us in praying:

🙏 Pray for the families affected.
🙏 Pray for the first responders and relief workers.
🙏 Pray for the local churches serving on the front lines.
🙏 Pray that God’s peace, comfort, and hope would shine brightly in the midst of this tragedy.

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to Our Founder, Maria Davila! 🎂🎉

Today we celebrate a woman whose “yes” to God has impacted countless lives across the United States and the Caribbean.

As Maria celebrates another year of life, she is also celebrating 8 years of leading mission trips, serving communities affected by natural disasters, supporting the homeless, sharing the Gospel, and bringing hope to those who need it most.

From disaster zones and remote villages to churches, schools, and communities in need, her passion for serving others has inspired volunteers, partners, and supporters to become the hands and feet of Jesus.

Through every challenge, every deployment, and every mission field, Maria has remained committed to one simple calling: to love God and love people.

Hurricane season begins today, June 1, and will continue until November 30. 🌩️

If you haven't prepared your disaster supply kit already, now's the time to do so. Take the time to review your emergency plans, restock on supplies, and know your zone and routes. This preparation ensures you're ready long before a storm arrives.

And remember, Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation last year to permanently exempt select preparedness items from sales tax, saving families money while stocking up essentials.

Today, Healthy Souls International is honored to be partnering with Christ for all Nations USA for their homeless outreach event in Orlando.

Together, we’ll be distributing homeless care packs, sharing the love of Jesus, offering prayer, and reminding people that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God.

The greatest gift isn’t what’s inside the bag it’s knowing that someone cares enough to stop, listen, pray, and share hope.

Please keep our team, our volunteers, and every person we encounter in your prayers today. We believe God has divine appointments waiting around every corner.
