Progress is underway to refresh several high-traffic areas along Daytona Beach’s beachside. Crews are pressure washing surfaces and repainting curbs as part of ongoing maintenance along Main Street, Ocean Avenue, the Boardwalk, Breakers Oceanfront Park and surrounding areas.

The work is being completed in phases, so residents and visitors may notice areas that appear partially finished. Curbs are being pressure washed first to remove dirt, debris and loose or chipping paint before a fresh coat is applied. In some locations, this means portions of a curb may temporarily show both the existing and new paint as crews move through each step of the process.

The improvements are part of a larger maintenance project that also includes pressure washing and painting the Boardwalk seawall, light poles and fixtures, railings and concrete walls at Breakers Park, ground lights and the exterior of the Breakers Environmental Learning Center.
