New name, same mission! The AFROTC Det. 157 Alumni and Cadet Association was founded in July 2013 as part an ERAU Alumni Association's effort to better engage it's military alumni. With their continued support, our Alumni and Cadet Association looks to achieve these primary objectives:
1) Enhance the AFROTC program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University by providing career guidance and mentorin
g to junior officer alum and Det. 157 cadets
-- Alumni to mentor cadets in their career field in their last year prior to commissioning
-- Senior alum mentoring to junior officers after commissioning
-- Senior cadets mentoring to junior cadets
2) Enable communication/networking opportunities for Det. 157 cadets, alumni, and supporters
-- User friendly, self-service web presence with searchable database, news updates, etc.
-- Sponsored events supporting the Detachment and membership
3) Enable Det. 157 alumni to rekindle old friendships and establish new ones
4) Promote and support AFROTC Det. 157, the Eagle Wing Association, cadre and staff
-- Assist with guest speakers, alum engagements, mentoring and recruiting needs
5) Have fun through social events and get-togethers
6) Honor our proud, shared heritage by our deeds, actions, and decisions while sharing key accomplishments with our members
