Say hello to our December , James!

James has been in ERT since spring 2022, making him one of our longest-serving current providers. James will be graduating next week, meaning this will be his last semester with ERT. In his time with ERT, James has been a great friend and great medical provider who has been a pleasure to work with. We will miss him, but we are equally excited to see where he goes and all the great things we know he will do in the future. Good luck, James!

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

We hope everyone is enjoying their time off, and enjoying thanksgiving with friends and family. This past Monday ERT hosted our own “medsgiving” with our members to celebrate thanksgiving, have a great evening with so many of our great members and friends, and enjoy some amazing food.

We hope everyone is staying safe this thanksgiving, and for those of you who are on campus, ERT remains in service and will be throughout the break.

Tomorrow officially starts collegiate EMS week! We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our events every day of this week to highlight the work we do, and other EMS and first responder resources around Daytona Beach!

This week we will be raising awareness and providing education on CPR and Stop the Bleed, tabling to raise awareness about the importance of wearing a helmet and how it can prevent head injuries we regularly see on campus. We will also be opening up our vehicles and our operation to show you all what we do as well as welcoming multiple off-campus resources including Daytona Beach International Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), Volusia County EMS, Daytona Beach Fire Department, and Orlando Air Care will be landing their helicopter on campus this Friday.

Stay tuned to our social media for updates and more information about all of these events!

Meet our November , Sarah!

Sarah has been involved with ERT for about two years and is coming up on a year as a medical provider with us. Over the summer she got her EMT and has been working on clearing as a Crew Chief! We appreciate Sarah’s dedication to ERT and we see the work she puts in every day to make ERT better. Thanks Sarah!

ERT will remain in service during Hurricane Milton to continue to support ERAU students who are staying on campus and essential staff. If you or someone else experiences a medical emergency call (386) 226-7233 📞🚨

We hope everyone can stay safe during Hurricane Milton and remind everyone to follow any directives from local emergency management, weather alerts, and stay up to date on the latest forecasts from the National Hurricane Center and the National Weather Service’s Melbourne office who covers Daytona Beach and much of east-central Florida. Please follow all ERAU-enforced closures, local curfews, and other directives. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, 10/14, as we resume normal operations.

Our September , Caden!

Caden joined ERT in the fall of 2022 and has since gone on to be an EMT, crew chief, and all-around great medical member. Caden particularly stands out for his commitment over the summer, whereas one of the few ERT members still in Daytona, he covered many of the shifts and ran most of the calls we received this summer. Thank you, Caden, for your service to ERT and the Embry-Riddle community!
