Another year, another incredible conference in Clearwater Beach.

I couldn't be more grateful to be a part of the National Information Officers Association.

I was also honored to be one of 32 mentors for our new members this year.

The training sessions are always insightful, but connecting with 500+ PIO counterparts from agencies across the country is the best part.

This job is so rewarding, but it can also be tough. I couldn't be where I am today without the mentorship and friendship this organization has given me.

Thank you to the members who have invested in me, challenged me, encouraged me and reminded me that we're never in this work alone.

Speaking of podcasts... 🙂

We're launching a second one.

The studio at our Bunnell office has been a labor of love for IT Director Steve Diamond and me over the past couple of months.

What began as a digital mockup on Canva has now become a reality.

We're excited about the concept we've developed for our office podcast and can't wait to start filming soon.

I had a blast this past spring helping bring Real Talk: Safety & Success to life with some really awesome middle and high school students!

The Awareness Pillar for our Safety First, Success Always initiative began with a focus on public service announcements, which consistently feature student voices. However, our office and the school districts wanted to start a platform for students, by students, which is how Real Talk: Safety & Success was born.

For this new Awareness Pillar campaign, I am taking our office's podcast equipment on the road to mic up students from all four county school districts. The platform allows hosts and guests to have open conversations about important issues impacting their peers, schools, and communities.

I work closely with the student hosts and guests as I film and produce the podcast, and I have seen firsthand how rewarding the experience has been for both the students and our initiative team.

We are excited to continue this campaign during the upcoming school year. Our goal is to increase audience reach while maintaining our current production schedule of eight episodes per school year. By continuing to create opportunities for students to lead open conversations on important issues, Real Talk: Safety & Success will remain a valuable and impactful platform for our schools and communities throughout the circuit.

I was honored to accept this year’s You Got This Award at the Tristyn Bailey Foundation Gala, recognizing my community engagement work at the State Attorney’s Office and my role in developing and organizing the first Tristyn Bailey Leadership Day.

Last week, the foundation was also given the Community Impact Award from University of North Florida's Taylor Leadership Institute. We were grateful to have huge support from the institute on our first leadership day and look forward to continuing our partnership with them as we expand our teen programming in the future.

This foundation is made up of some really incredible people doing some really incredible work in Tristyn's name, to say I feel privileged to be a part of it is an understatement 🩵
