🚨UPDATE:🚨 1 lane has been opened up on I-70. Please drive cautiously through the accident scene. There is a lot of activity as responders work to clean up the debris from the crash.

I-70 Westbound at MM 65 will be shut down for an extended period due to a crash involving a semi truck. Traffic is being diverted to the frontage road at the west Parachute exit.
Please do not slow to unsafe speeds or stop in the area. Traffic needs to continue moving safely through the diversion to help prevent additional crashes caused by inattentive drivers.
Use caution, stay alert, and expect delays.

With the lack of snowfall this winter, vegetation across our area is much drier than usual, creating an increased risk for wildfires.
We kindly ask all residents conducting controlled burns to please have them fully extinguished by 1:00 PM each day. Afternoon winds and rising temperatures can quickly turn a small, controlled fire into something much more dangerous.
As a reminder, no burning is allowed on Red Flag Warning days due to extreme fire danger.
We appreciate everyone doing their part to help keep our community safe. If you have any questions about safe burning practices, please reach out.
Stay safe,
De Beque Fire Protection District
