Across Pennsylvania and throughout the country, volunteerism is the backbone of many essential services.

Here in our community, the Springfield Ambulance Corps has proudly served our residents for generations, relying on dedicated volunteers who answer the call when help is needed most.

We see firsthand how important volunteers are to keeping our community safe. Every call to which we respond โ€“ cardiac arrests, motor vehicle accidents, sick person, or any public service call โ€“ depends on neighbors helping neighbors.

If you have ever thought about giving back to your community, now is the time. Your neighbors may one day depend on it.

The cost to purchase and fully equip a new BLS ambulance is approximately $500,000. As an all-volunteer organization that receives NO tax funding, this represents a significant financial commitment.

Community support is essential to ensure the continued ability to provide prompt, professional emergency medical services.

Springfield Ambulance is financed COMPLETELY through donations and service billing and provides paramedic service through our contract with VMSC, our partners in pre-hospital emergency care with ZERO TAX DOLLARS.

Not all superheroes wear capes! Some wear uniforms, answer late-night calls, and show up when it matters most. ๐Ÿš‘

Today, on National Superhero Day, we proudly recognize our incredible volunteer ambulance crew, along with our paramedic partners from VMSC, the Springfield Delco Police Department and Springfield Fire Company - Station 44. Your dedication, compassion, and courage make a life-saving difference every single day.

Thank you for being the real heroes in our community. ๐Ÿ’™

~ Bleeding control & shock management
~ Trauma care & splinting
~ Medical emergencies (cardiac, respiratory, diabetic, seizures, allergic reactions)
