Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 11, 1 to 3 pm! Our friends from GEE Funny Farm will be returning to "The Rocks" across from the Library with many of their animal ambassadors, including Abish the sloth and some living dinosaurs (can you guess what they might be?).

Frio's Gourmet Pops will also be on site serving up their cool, tasty treats and donating a portion of the sales to the Library.

June Book Club books are here!

The Banned Book Club is reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night by Mark Haddon and will meet on Wednesday, June 3rd in Room C at the library. This book club meets at two different times to accommodate schedules. Join us at 12:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.!

The Dragonwood Readers Book Club will be reading North Woods by Daniel Mason and meets Friday, June 12th at 9:30 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Center.

The Whimsical Bookworms will be reading Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez and meets Thursday, June 18th at 6:30 p.m. in Room C at the library.

The Badger Book Club will be reading A Driftless Murder by Jerry McGinley and meets Monday, June 22nd at 12:00 p.m. in Room C at the library.

Chapters in Common selected two book options this month! The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion, Vol. 1 by Beth Bower and/or The Perfect Escape by Adriane Leigh. Book books are available via Hoopla. This book club meets next on Thursday, June 11th at 6pm to discuss the audiobook and select the next month’s audiobook in the Classroom at the library!

NEW Bring Your Own Book Club (BYOB Club) starts this month! This book club meets at two different times to accommodate schedules. In June, we're meeting at Tierney Park (4134 Hanover Drive in DeForest). Come and chat books you loved (or hated) with other readers! Join us June 16th at 6pm or June 17th at noon.

The DeForest Area Public Library's website will be offline for up to one hour at some point today, Wednesday, May 20, for critical updates. You can still use the LINKcat Mobile App (available in your app store) to access our online catalog and many of our digital resources and collections. You can also go directly to our online catalog at dft.linkcat.info.

We will post updates as they become available.
