Today is Election Day! Polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm at Town Hall 7161 County Road I, DeForest. Remember to bring your photo ID!

For those interested, there is an Amazon Delivery Facility coming to Hickory Lane, just south of Hwy V. This land was annexed by the Village of DeForest from the Town of Vienna.

DeForest is set to be the home of a roughly 218,000 square-foot Amazon parcel delivery facility along the west side of Hickory Lane south of Highway V.

Absentee Voters: Please Mail Ballots Early to Help Ensure Delivery!!
"Under Wisconsin state law, postmark dates are not taken into consideration for ballot tabulation. All absentee ballots must be in the physical possession of local election officials by 8 pm on Election Night to be counted. In Dane County that includes having the ballot received on Election Day to be delivered to the correct polling location by 8 pm. "

Absentee ballots were mailed out today (6/23) for the August Partisan Primary (for requests already on file). You may still request a ballot by visiting myvote.wi.gov. Contact Town Hall with any questions!

🚧 Road Construction Notice – CTH V Closure Begins Monday, May 4 🚧

The Village has received notice from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation that construction on CTH V from Snowy Owl Court to CTH N is scheduled to begin Monday, May 4.

Beginning Monday, this section of CTH V will be closed to through traffic, and a signed detour route will be in place.

📅 Estimated project completion date: September 30, 2026

We encourage residents to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted detour signs during construction.

Thank you for your patience as these improvements are completed.
