🔥NOTICE - CONTROLLED BURN🔥

De Leon Volunteer Fire along with Promontory Park VFD and Sipe Springs VFD will be having a training burn on a Coastal hayfield on Saturday morning (21st) beginning shortly after daybreak. This will be on County Road 482 north of the Rucker community near the intersection of CR 482 and CR 486.

There will be a lot of white smoke; but be assured that the burn is being closely monitored by trained personnel and will be conducted in a controlled environment.

⚠️ Please use caution and avoid the area if possible as there will be numerous fire personnel and emergency equipment operating in this area.⚠️

Thank you to the community for your understanding as we utilize this training opportunity to better ourselves as your first responders.

De Leon Fire Department members practiced extrication training this evening working with the 2 sets of TNT Rescue Systems “Jaws of Life” tools we own and maintain. We keep one set of these in our unit 434 Rescue truck and we keep a second set in our unit 432 Freightliner Engine/Pumper.

De Leon Fire trains with and utilizes these two sets of life saving tools in order to better respond and be prepared to save multiple victims in any type of motor vehicle accident.

Thank you to the firefighters who participated in the training this evening and thank you all for your dedication in serving the De Leon community!
