Our team has been hard at work putting up banners as we prepare to celebrate 250 years of our nation’s history. We’re proud to help bring a little extra red, white, and blue to our Town as we honor this milestone anniversary.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the flags and banners around town, and join us in celebrating 250 years of America! ❤️🤍💙

Arbor day is a great reminder that trees do so much more than just make our community beautiful - they provide shade and cool our community, they improve air quality, they improve mental and emotional health of our community members, and they improve biodiversity within our community.

The Town's Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry and Operations Supervisor spent the afternoon yesterday talking with students at Heritage Elementary School. Students learned about these and many other benefits that trees provide us and got to participate in planting a native River birch tree (Betula nigra) on school property.

As we recognize Arbor Day, we encourage residents to take a moment to appreciate the trees in their neighborhoods and consider planting one for the future. Even small actions today can have a lasting impact for generations to come.
