It’s World Beard Day, and naturally, the Town of Ledgeview had to recognize the distinguished gentlemen who keep our community running smoothly.

From neatly trimmed to “I woke up like this,” our bearded crew proves that you can fix a road, mow a park, solve a problem, answer a lot of questions AND look pretty good doing it.

We’re not saying there’s an unofficial Ledgeview Beard Club… but if there were, we’re pretty sure membership would be growing.

So, in honor of World Beard Day, help us celebrate our bearded crew by giving these bearded legends a 👏, ❤️, or 👍 in the comments!

The Town of Ledgeview has begun flushing hydrants. This process should take approximately two weeks.

DID YOU KNOW……
Hydrant flushing is an important part of maintaining our water system. It helps remove sediment and mineral deposits that can build up in water mains, improves water quality, and ensures that hydrants operate properly and are ready to provide adequate water flow when needed for fire protection.

It is Town Ordinance to keep a 10-foot clear zone around any publicly owned fire hydrant.

Please make sure that your hydrants are kept clear at all times. Keeping them accessible helps our firefighters respond quickly when every second counts!

The State of Wisconsin recently released preliminary population growth estimates for communities across Wisconsin, and Ledgeview continues to see steady growth.

Ledgeview's estimated population is now 9,924, an increase of 1,104 residents (12.52%) since the 2020 Census. In 2025 alone, the community saw a net increase of 88 housing units, reflecting continued residential development.

Ledgeview’s estimated voting-age population is approximately 7,187 residents.

As our community continues to grow, we are excited to be approaching a significant milestone. With our population now just 76 residents shy of 10,000, we anticipate reaching 10,000 residents in 2027. This continued growth reflects Ledgeview's desirable location and appeal as a great place to call home.

Starting the week of August 31st, crews will begin construction of a new kayak launch at Ledgeview Park.

The project is being coordinated and funded by Brown County. The work is scheduled to be completed by September 11th. There will be intermittent closures of portions of the parking lot and adjacent pedestrian trail while work is being completed.

We ask that park and trail users please follow posted signage and avoid the immediate area while construction is underway.

A big thank you to the Green Bay Packers, Green Bay Packaging, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for joining us at Ledgeview Park this morning to plant a tree and celebrate 16 successful years of the First Down for Trees program.

Thanks to the Packers’ hard work on the field, 394 trees were planted in Brown County communities in 2026. This brings the program’s total to nearly 8,000 trees planted since its inception.

We appreciate this partnership and the shared commitment to building a more resilient tree canopy that will provide meaningful benefits for residents and future generations.

This week we want to highlight the Town of Ledgeview's trail system, natural areas and greenways. The Town is responsible for over 100 acres of passive natural areas that have been protected from development and preserved for all to enjoy. Most recently, with the help of funding secured through the NRDA, the Town acquired an additional 33 acres of property along the East River, adjacent to Osprey Point. This tract of land contains one of the last untouched riparian hardwood tree stands along the upper East River. The property has extremely high environmental value, and the Town is currently working with Brown County and other agencies to begin combating invasive species within the property. The master plan for the property identifies opportunities for natural trails, outdoor classrooms, and water access. The Town also maintains over 3.5 miles of paved multi-use trails year-round for community members to enjoy.

This week, we’re highlighting Scray Hill Park!

Located on Scray Hill Road, this 28-acre community park is home to the Mulva Family Baseball Fields and offers a variety of amenities for residents and visitors to enjoy, including:

🔹Four multi-purpose athletic fields
🔹Playground
🔹Crushed stone walking trail
🔹Recently completed concession and restroom facility
🔹Seasonal Ice Rink (weather permitting)

Scray Hill Park is also home to many local youth athletic organizations and welcomes visitors from across the state during busy tournament weekends.
