DePere Area Men's Club Contact # 920-634-8649. We are composed of retired men working to make De Pere community a better place to live.

Volunteers perform activities and projects to help those in need. Our business meeting is followed by a speaker with a pertinent topic. Anyone interested is invited to attend our meeting, 9-10am every Tuesday at the De Pere Community Center, 600 Grant Street. We perform a variety of volunteer projects including deliver meals to the homebound, ring bells for Salvation Army, work at St Vincent DePau

l, paper pickup, prepare food for several groups. Any monies we collect are given back to a variety of organizations to benefit the community.

Our speakers for Thursday, August 27, were the social workers who run "Hands Across De Pere" and the "Hope Squad" for the De Pere schools (east and west sides). They help 400 to 500 families per year and about 140 students who need help with finding a place to stay. Our Club golfing outing collected $4,588 which was donated to Hands Across De Pere and Hope Squad. We probably had a record attendance for this meeting (88% of the members)
