I wanted to share the World War II stats I compiled.
89 wounded in action.
62 killed in action.
29 missing in action.[some found alive;some not]
8 died non-battle
15 prisoners of war.
These are soldiers who were born in or lived at one time in Sevier County, AR.
Google says that 34 actual Sevier County Boys were Killed in Action.

During the pandemic I compiled 3 military books for the museum and I wanted to share some stats I came up with on Sevier County soldiers in World War 1.
James C Watt was the first De Queen boy to be killed in WWI.
I found 33 killed in action, 1 died non-battle, and 1 was a prisoner of war.

Good morning! Had a great time Saturday night at the mystery dinner.
This morning Ms. Pat, Ms. Nita McCullough and I are gearing up for the annual visit to the museum from the second grade classes here at De Queen. We are expecting about 170 children to come through this morning one busload at a time. We always look forward to this.

Good morning! After a fall and breaking my arm just above the wrist, when I went to the ortho doctor, I found out I needed surgery to repair the break. I had that surgery this past Tuesday in which the surgeon put in a metal plate to aid the repair. The museum mystery dinner is Saturday the 16th and I just wanted to let everyone know, "The show will go on!"
Pilgrims is donating the chicken and Pruitts is smoking the chicken for us. What a blessing!!
Text or message 870-784-0039 to reserve your seat.

Part of the Collin Raye exhibit has been moved to the front of the museum. We don't want to forget all that he has done for this area.
Will be rotating the exhibit items as the seasons change.
I've been working on a new book. Will post about it soon.
We are gearing up for a busy tourist season and will be setting a date for a murder mystery dinner soon.
