DeKalb County Online Under New Ownership
DeKalb County Online, DeKalb's local internet news magazine has a new management owner. DCO was recently acquired by David Galica, a local business owner in DeKalb. Galica owns Armor (formerly Armor Tech) located in downtown DeKalb.
DeKalb County Online was created 22 years ago by Mac McIntyre and Grace Mott. The concept of this unique internet news service was to bring information to businesses and consumers on a fast and timely basis. In April 2018, DeKalb County Online was sold to local businessman Michael Embrey. The new DCO has captured second place in media information in DeKalb County, with a variety of exciting changes and options. Since it’s inception, it has been the go-to source for news and happenings in DeKalb County, providing news, information, events, and more about and within DeKalb County.
Michael Embrey owns FunME Events travel and special events company. Embrey is active in tourism and special event activities in various locations across the United States and Europe. Mac McIntyre continues to run his own creative computer service, eWorldLinx. Mac and his wife Grace have moved to central Illinois, but still maintains contacts in the DeKalb area.
Armor (Technologies) is a complete technology resource. It offers I.T. systems management, graphic design, computer repair, cell phone repair, and more. The company was established in 2003 and is based in DeKalb, Illinois
