The DeWitt Area Senior Club House is a gathering place for people 60 and over to socialize, meet new friends, and, enjoy activities.

The Club House is funded by the DeWitt Chamber Foundation.

We are happy to report the DeWitt Chamber Foundation opened its expanded Senior Club House facility today. This 5,000 sq ft space provides local seniors the opportunity to socialize, play cards, board games, and puzzles, along with other activities throughout the week.
Monday: 1 - 4 Cards, Puzzles, Games
Tuesday: 12:30 - 3:00 Brown Bag Lunch & a Movie
Thursday: 1 -4 Cards, Puzzles, Games
Friday: 9 - 11 Coffee Hour and Socializing

Good Morning to our Senior Community!
We have a few activities on the Senior Club House Calendar this week.
• Monday is always a great way to start the week with a few exercises.
• Tuesday (tomorrow) is our Annual Trip to Bronner’s & Frankenmuth. We will begin to load the bus at 8:45 for a 9:00 am departure. We plan to arrive at Bronner’s shortly after 10 am. We will load the bus again at 11:45 for Frankenmuth where we will have lunch at Zehnder’s at 12:15 and spend the afternoon browsing the village. The bus will then depart from the Zehnder’s parking lot at 3 pm.
• Thursday is our game day with a variety of card games and Mahjong at 2 pm.
• Friday is a great day to sit back, relax, and enjoy our Coffee Hour at 9:30 am for socializing.
We hope you have a great week and visit the Club House throughout the week to enjoy the fun!

The DeWitt Area Chamber of Commerce is a business organization that has always strived to support all facets of the DeWitt Area. We host luncheons with guest speakers to provide networking opportunities and educational value. We host a variety of community events to enhance the quality of life for all residents, and recently, through our Foundation, we opened the Senior Club House to host activities for our senior citizens. Our efforts are made possible through the hard work and generosity of our members for the benefit of the DeWitt Area. We hope you will join us throughout the year to support our efforts. • Tuesday, September 30: 2:00 pm. Creating unique gifts for Foundation’s Holiday Sale

From the DeWitt Area Senior Club House, A DeWitt Chamber initiative.
• There will be no Coffee Social this Friday as we will be setting up for the Home Show on Saturday.
• Next Monday is chair exercising at 9:30 followed by walking at 10:15 for those who wish to participate. As the medical community is urging everyone to walk at least 30 minutes per day we hope to work up to this over time.
• Next Tuesday, is our mid-month breakfast at 9 am. We will have a guest speaker, Kathy Valentine, President and Owner of The Plant Professionals. Kathy will be discussing container gardening. Please RSVP if you will be attending as we are providing breakfast.
• Our June 3 luncheon will be at the Airport Tavern and Grill on W Grand River. Please RSVP if you will be attending.
• The June Calendar is included.

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to touch base and remind everyone of the events scheduled over the next two weeks and share the May Calendar with you so you can plan accordingly.
• Monday: Chair Exercising at 9:30 am.
• Tuesday: Arts & Crafts at 2 pm. Bring any craft you would like and join the group. Great conversation and socializing.
• Thursday: Cards and Board Games at 2 pm. Some play Euchre, some Mahjong, and others enjoy a variety of card and board games.
• Friday: Coffee Social at 9:30. Enjoy a variety of treats, and hot beverages along with great conversation with others.
• Our May “Lunch with Friends” will be hosted at the Big Boy in St Johns. Dave Hundt, the owner of Big Boy, lives in DeWitt and he is looking forward to our visit so I hope you can join us! Reservations Required
• Please note the special notations on the May Calendar pertaining to a few special Friday Coffees and the fact the office will be closed Friday the 16th. I will be setting up on Friday for the Home Show on Saturday and the office will be the main staging area.
